Services and Support
Soaring Sisters, Inc. is a non-discriminatory, 501(c)(3) ministry that provides the following opportunities to individuals, families, and communities:
Community Connect- engaging sexual trauma presentations used to help raise awareness and garter support from valuable community organizations. Request Presentation.
Gatekeeper Training- preventative education sessions to help empower caregivers, educators, churches, and community organizations to protect youth from child sexual abuse. Request Training.
Agency Resource Referrals- links survivors residing within Tuscaloosa County with agencies that can assist with basic living needs (i.e. food, clothing, economic assistance, mental health, adult education, transportation, family support, drug and alcohol support programs) Request Assistance.
Recovery Community- interactive monthly recovery groups to help survivors connect with other survivors in a “healing place” to address challenges faced while receiving much needed social support. Meeting Information.
Satellite Support Groups- provides FREE training sessions and materials to establish and operate sexual trauma support groups within other areas. Group Start-Up Information.
Survivor Mentors- connects survivors with reputable community mentors to help promote continued growth within survivors’ personal and professional lives. Volunteer Information.
Volunteer/Donate- provides priceless opportunities for individuals and groups to give of their time, talents, and resources to help support the work of this far-reaching ministry. More Information
